Download and Install golblox
We provide two installation paths: Android APK for Android devices and a mobile web app for iOS. Android users download the APK file directly from our site and install it by enabling unknown sources in their device settings. iOS users access golblox through Safari or Chrome and can add the web app to their home screen for app-like behavior.
Installation overview
- Android: Download APK → Enable unknown sources → Install → Register or log in
- iOS: Open Safari → Visit golblox → Add to home screen → Register or log in
- Web: Use any browser on desktop or mobile → Register or log in directly
Android APK Installation
Android users download the golblox APK file from our site. Before installation, go to Settings → Security and enable "Unknown sources" or "Install from unknown sources" (the exact wording varies by Android version). Once enabled, open the downloaded APK file and follow the on-screen prompts. The installation completes in seconds. After installation, open the app, create a new account or log in, and verify your identity with a government ID and proof of address. Your account becomes active once verification is complete, typically within one business day.
iOS Web App Installation
iOS users do not download an app from the App Store. Instead, open Safari or Chrome, navigate to golblox, and tap the Share button. Select "Add to Home Screen" and confirm. The web app appears on your home screen as an icon and opens in full-screen mode when tapped, mimicking native app behavior. The web app uses the same account and payment methods as the desktop site. Performance is optimized for touch, with larger buttons and simplified navigation compared to the desktop layout.
App vs. Browser: Trade-offs
The native Android app offers offline caching, meaning you can view previously loaded markets and account information even without an internet connection. The app also sends push notifications for live events and account alerts, which the browser does not. However, the browser works on any device with a web connection and requires no installation or permission grants. The iOS web app bridges both: it installs like an app but uses the same web technology as the browser, so it has no offline cache but avoids App Store review delays. Choose the Android app if you want notifications and offline browsing; choose the browser if you prefer simplicity and cross-device access.
Device Compatibility
Our golblox app requires Android 7.0 or later on Android devices. Most phones sold in the past five years meet this requirement. For iOS, the web app works on iOS 12 and later, covering all iPhones from iPhone 5s onwards. If your device is older, you can still access golblox through a mobile browser on any device with an internet connection. We do not support Windows Phone or other legacy platforms.
Common Installation Issues
If the APK file does not install on Android, verify that unknown sources are enabled in your device settings. Some Android versions hide this setting under "Apps & notifications" or "Application management." If you see a certificate warning, this is normal for APK files downloaded outside the Play Store—tap "Install anyway" to proceed. If the app crashes on launch, restart your device and try again. If the problem persists, uninstall the app, clear your device cache, and reinstall. For iOS, if the web app does not appear on your home screen after tapping "Add to Home Screen," try using Safari instead of Chrome, as Chrome's home-screen feature has limited support on iOS.
Data, Permissions, and Account Security
The golblox app requests permission to access your device's camera and photo library for identity verification—you upload a photo of your government ID and proof of address during account setup. The app also requests permission to send notifications. These permissions are optional; you can deny them and still use golblox, but you will not receive push alerts and will need to upload documents manually through the browser. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted. Your account password is never stored on your device; you log in each time you open the app or use a session token that expires after a set period. If you lose your device, log in to golblox on another device and change your password to invalidate all other sessions.
